Groter Walpius is an emergent artist living and working in La Spezia, Italy.
 
Utilitarian yet in search of something transcendental, he works on tablets of concrete, in layers with spraypaint, very fine sandpaper and water; continuously smoothing in search of the blooms that the colour generously gifts. He likes to think that his process replicates what light does itself to form colour and tone. The rational part of his brain tries to counter and overcome the random processes, creating a dance between harmony and chaos in an attempt to replicate an act of nature produced over time.
