Andrew Hardwick 'Forgotten Landscape' - Public Solo Exhibition

Andrew Hardwick is working towards a public solo exhibition at The Sadler Gallery at The Spring Arts Centre, Havant which will open on 14 April until 15 June 2022.

The exhibition titled ‘Forgotten Land’ bringing together existing and new large scale and immersive paintings. Hardwick states in relation to this new phase of painting: "I am excited by my new work, which I believe is moving strongly forward… I have become engrossed with ideas of memory, but also change, especially in relation to my dock side location in Bristol. What remains of the family farm is now threatened and land behind my static caravan may well be taken by the docks… Perhaps as a metaphor, I have been painting wilderness zones shortly to be developed at Avonmouth, and for some reason yet to be worked out the obscenely massive Amazon depot building in full spring and painted pink... Images of haunted places, ships long gone, painted from memory also appear, in some strange conglomerate, all still to be fully worked out.”
