Anima Mundi & Sarah Ball Raise over 20 Thousand Pounds for Black Lives Matter

Anima Mundi and Sarah Ball are proud to have raised over £20,000 for Black Lives Matter.

Responding to the global protests which followed the killing of George Floyd by Minneapolis police officer Derek Chauvin, it was made palpably clear that it was intolerable for any of us to stand by whilst people continue to be marginalised due to the colour of their skin, and to the contrary racial equality is the only acceptable outcome. Anima Mundi spontaneously collaborated with the artist Sarah Ball by releasing three limited edition prints with 100% of profits donated to ‘Black Lives Matter’. All the print editions were sold out internationally within 48 hours of going online. To be able to share artwork, that has compassion and empathy at its heart, and to make that sentiment manifest itself in a very real way is hugely rewarding for all involved.

Black Lives Matter (BLM) is a decentralised political and social movement advocating for non-violent civil disobedience in protest against incidents of police brutality and all racially motivated violence against black people. The broader movement and its related organisations also advocate for policy changes related to black liberation.
